On being Alone

It was something I never really minded.
I did like to find my way around a new place
with a slower gait then others.
Although it was nice to have a friend
now and then,
being alone, unparalleled spatial auras
that tumbled themselves into
just a dimension passing
quietly ...
in reading, in listening to the sounds of music,
photographs real and otherwise,
daydreams,
relaxing in the grass, watching clouds dance,
star gazing in the night air,
To remain a secret.  Or not.
Alone was never bad to me.
Now,
on being lonely,
well, that's another thing altogether, isn't it?
